The Folio Society on it`s inception in 1947 started to print and publish Quality books by well known authors and illustrators, to date they have published approximately 1500 titles.Charles Ede,the founder of the Folio Society alerted to the decline in standards that might not easily be reversed he was convinced that good design and production should be available to everyone and not just to a few comparatively rich book-buyers, he embarked on a plan to produce books to the highest possible standards using commercial methods.
The quality of Folio books are in their manufacture,all Folio Books are stitched and glued and therefore will allmost last forever. The quality of the paper and the printing is second to none.The Folio publishers are at the higher end of the market with top specifications.This gives a Quality Book.
